The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) has officially released the Undergraduate Admission Guidebooks for the 2026/2027 academic year. The guidebooks provide comprehensive information on undergraduate degree programmes offered by accredited higher learning institutions in Tanzania, including the specific admission requirements for each programme.
Established under the Universities Act of 2005 (Cap. 346), TCU is a corporate body responsible for regulating university education in Tanzania. Its core functions include the recognition, registration, accreditation, and quality assurance of higher education institutions and programmes, ensuring a coordinated and harmonised higher education system across the country.
For the 2026/2027 academic year, the Undergraduate Admission Guidebooks have been prepared to assist prospective applicants in making informed choices about their studies. The publications cater to two main categories of applicants: holders of Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (Form Six) qualifications and applicants with Ordinary Diplomas or other equivalent qualifications.
